ALEGRIA, FINE ORGANIC PASTA!
In November of 2008, partners Marie-Helene Gagne and Eric Daigneault bought Alegria commercial brand and all the pasta fabricating equipment from ‘Meunerie Milanaise‘.
Marie-Helene Gagne had known the company Milanaise for a year and a half as an executive employee, where as Eric Daigneault was raised within a family owned grocers, a Metro supermarket, for a total of 17 years. For Eric, it was a return to his roots and the beginning of an adventure.
A member of ‘Aliments du Québec’, a group of producers, their business number is licensed under social reasons as Alegria Products, with 1 full time employee and 2 part-time employees. Marie-Helene takes care of administration, while Eric focuses on sales and acquiring new clientele.
“We have renewed the image of our business, to take on a bigger part in today’s market. A new logo, new packaging and new formats to better respond to the various needs of our clientele while remaining with competitive prices.” The couple have a daughter, Noemie, who loves meeting and talking with clients at the farmer’s market about her great pastas while offering taste testing.
Made with organic flour from the ‘Meunerie Milanaise‘ and organically certified by Ecocert Canada, Alegria pasta has a high fiber consistency and a superior nutritional value. They are cooked in 5 minutes, a shorter time than their commercial counterparts.
